Reading Counts! 

Students at Eagle Nest participate in the Reading Counts program.  Your child's teacher will help your child set a personal goal for how many books to read and test on each nine weeks. Students will then take online quizzes on books they have read, receiving immediate feedback when they take a quiz, as well as teacher support as they work toward their goal.  A few details:

• Students read / quiz on books on their Lexile level.
• Most quizzes will have 10 questions.
• A student must score 70% or better to pass a quiz.  If he does not pass, he may take it again after a day's wait. 
• There is a bank of 30 questions for each book, and they appear randomly in a test; thus, the questions will differ each time the student takes a quiz on a specific book.
• Students will be rewarded for meeting their quarterly goals.
